In Nuquí, a remote Afro-Colombian community on Colombia’s northern Pacific coast, Chola is the matriarch of a family of 13. Life unfolds between river and jungle—rowing wooden canoes upstream, protecting plantain harvests, and dancing reggaeton on warm coastal nights in a portrait of resilience, kinship, and everyday joy.

SANGUE, TERRA, LEITE, ÁGUA E SANGUE

In the remote Himalayan village of Burwa, Khila and Nisha—married to two brothers—share a life, a home, and daily labor shaped by tradition. Through intimate moments of work and silence in orchards and fields, the film offers a quiet portrait of sisterhood, resilience, and the rhythms of a life deeply intertwined with nature and ancestral customs.
